We are seeking a skilled 1st Class Shipfitter with a minimum of 3 years of shipfitting experience . The ideal candidate will perform layout, structural fitting, metric measuring, and cutting with a torch on ships. Candidates must demonstrate their skills through a hands-on craft test . The role requires attention to detail, precision, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team while following shipyard safety standards.
Minimum 3 years of shipfitting experience
Ability to pass a hands-on craft test in accordance with craft classification
Proficiency in structural fitting processes
Experience cutting steel with a torch
Strong understanding of shipfitting techniques and best practices
Ability to accurately perform layout, metric measurements, and cutting
Knowledge of safety standards and shipyard procedures
Must be a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident
