Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Remote Bookkeeper/Accounting Assistant to support our finance team with daily accounting tasks. This role is fully remote and requires accuracy, confidentiality, and the ability to work independently. Candidates must be flexible to cover both day and night shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Record financial transactions, including purchases, expenses, invoices, and payments.
• Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and other financial records.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing.
• Prepare and maintain spreadsheets, ledgers, and financial documentation.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities.
• Generate basic financial reports and summaries as requested.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Collaborate with the finance team to improve processes and accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience as a bookkeeper, accounting assistant, or similar role.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, FreshBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle confidential financial information responsibly.
• Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
