FT Medical Business Office Coordinator

: Gastro One is seeking a Full-Time Medical Business Office Coordinator to join our team. This position plays a pivotal role in managing the administrative and business aspects of our medical practice. The successful candidate will report to the Regional Business Office Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the medical business office.
  • Managing patient registration, check-in, and check-out processes with efficiency and a patient-centric approach.
  • Coordinating billing and insurance claims processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Assisting patients with billing inquiries, providing clear and helpful explanations.
  • Working closely with the Regional Business Office Manager to maintain office policies and procedures.
  • Supporting the scheduling and coordination of patient appointments.
  • Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure smooth and effective office operations.
  • Handling confidential patient information and adhering to HIPAA regulations.

Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree required; healthcare administration or a related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of medical billing, coding, and insurance verification.
  • Accounts receivable experience.
  • Leadership experience.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems, electronic health records (EHR) software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
