Health, Safety, and Environmental (EHS) Coordinator Are you ready to elevate your career in manufacturing operations and be a part of creating the worlds best desserts? Dessert Holdings is looking for aHealth, Safety, and Environmental (EHS) Coordinatorto join our team based inNewburyport, MA to be responsible for the day-to-day safety initiatives in our facility. TheEHS Coordinatorwill promote safety attitudes, safe work practices and environments, and maintain and administer the EHS program with the objective of preventing accidents, injuries, and environmental impact. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations by understanding existing and changing laws and rules, interpreting standards, enforcing adherence, and advising management on needed actions. Lead and/or support incident and accident investigation using root cause analysis and reporting and tracking any data Responsible for keeping records of safety-related incidents and recommendation and administration of corrective measures. Collaborate and share best practices with other Company facilities and support the execution of initiatives. Review safe work procedures, written reports, and provide recommendations. Perform safety compliance inspections including hazard analysis risk assessments. Responsible for monitoring adherence to the company safety program by all Dessert Holdings employees, visitors, and contractors Partner with Human Resources in workers compensation management Understand local incident record keeping requirements. Responsible for completing and submitting compliance reports (300, 300A logs, injury reports, etc.) where applicable Coordinate the site health and safety committee and ensure compliance, where applicable Point of contact for on-site security, where applicable Assist with developing safety culture at the facility. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS Thorough knowledge and understanding of occupational health safety regulations, and occupational health and safety standards Technical Safety Training in the field or related education is a must A professional designation (e.g., CSP, CRSP) is a plus but not required Prior experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) to be an effective influencer at all levels and display effective leadership skills Proficiency with database applications and administration systems, specifically Microsoft office Effective organizational skills Must be a HIGHLY MOTIVATED, service and team-oriented individual with an attention to detail effective managing self with little supervision self driven.
