Position Summary

As a  Financial Controlling Specialist , you will play a pivotal role in monitoring and steering the financial health of our growing business. This is a full-time position based in Cary, NC. Your primary responsibilities include preparing financial reports, analyzing business performance, and supporting the planning process. You will be the point person working directly with our local financial and tax consulting firm, and our financial team in Germany.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Establishment of a controlling system to support our production, sales, and marketing organization in Cary
• Preparation of monthly financial statements for the company as well as consolidated financial statements according to group guidelines (German accounting principles)
• Proactive execution of target-performance analyses and derivation of action recommendations
• Active collaboration with all operational departments regarding cost accounting and planning
• Supporting the global CFO in controlling/reporting and in managing the internationally operating subsidiary

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Structured and independent working style
• Persuasiveness and team skills
• Proficient or fluent in German a bonus, but not required
• Very good accounting knowledge (US GAAP)
• Proficient use of Excel

Education & Experience

• Successfully completed studies, ideally with a focus on financial controlling or a comparable education
• At least 2 years of professional experience in a financial controlling position, preferably on a production site
• Experienced user of ERP systems, preferably SAP
