Accountabilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for batch and real-time processing across structured and unstructured data sources
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT workflows to ensure efficient ingestion, transformation, and delivery to data warehouses, data lakes, or lakehouse environments
• Collaborate with data architecture, analytics, ML engineering, and product teams to translate requirements into reliable technical solutions
• Implement data quality checks, validation logic, and automated monitoring for accurate, complete, and reliable datasets
• Utilize cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and distributed computing frameworks (Spark) to create high-performance data systems
• Maintain metadata, data lineage, and documentation to support transparency, governance, and compliance
• Optimize data storage, compute, and pipeline performance for efficiency and cost reduction
• Apply security and access controls for sensitive data in accordance with policies and regulations
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes
• Continuously evaluate new tools, technologies, and patterns to enhance data engineering capabilities

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering, software engineering, or similar roles
• 5+ years of programming experience in Python for building and automating data pipelines and analytics data stores
• Experience with ETL/ELT tools such as Matillion, HVR, Fivetran, or Qlik Replicate
• 3+ years of experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS and/or Azure)
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing, data modeling, and schema design
• Understanding of data governance, lineage, quality frameworks, and metadata management
• Experience in production-ready AI data pipelines, including structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data preparation
• Familiarity with version control (Git/GitHub), Agile tools (Jira, Confluence), and collaborative development workflows
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
