This role sits at the intersection of global logistics, international regulation, and operational execution. It’s designed for a professional who wants more than a narrow compliance lane, someone who wants to influence cross-border strategy, tighten controls, and create a scalable trade compliance framework for a rapidly expanding international operation.

You’ll oversee import and export governance, ensure smooth movement of goods worldwide, and act as the organization’s subject-matter expert on U.S. and international trade regulations. This is a high-visibility role with direct impact on risk mitigation, operational flow, and global growth.

Responsibilities

• Ensure full adherence to global import/export regulations including EAR, ITAR, OFAC, and applicable local laws.
• Oversee product classification, documentation, licensing, and customs requirements for all international shipments.
• Partner with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal teams to coordinate shipment scheduling and resolve customs issues quickly.
• Optimize routing and transportation pathways to improve speed, cost, and compliance accuracy.
• Develop, update, and implement trade compliance policies, SOPs, and internal controls.
• Train internal teams on trade regulations, documentation requirements, and best practices.
• Conduct internal audits of import/export transactions and maintain audit-ready documentation.
• Identify compliance risks proactively and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Prepare and submit required filings and reports to regulatory agencies.
• Maintain accurate documentation for all shipments, licenses, compliance activities, and transactional records.
• Serve as the subject-matter expert for trade compliance, providing guidance to leadership, operations, and external partners.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support logistics planning and ensure compliance is built into operational decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, International Business, or related field—or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in logistics, trade compliance, customs operations, or a similar global role.
• Strong working knowledge of international import/export laws and documentation.
• Skilled in logistics systems, trade compliance software, and data-driven decision-making.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and communication skills.
• Certifications such as CTPAT, CCS, or similar are a plus.
• Bilingual: Mandarin required
