General Merchandise Clerk (Sales Floor) Location Laguna Woods, CA :

POSITION TITLE: GENERAL MERCHANDISE CLERK (SALES FLOOR)

JOB SUMMARY:

To stock, order and merchandise product for customer purchase.

FUNDAMENTAL JOB TASKS:

• Open, price and stock cases of merchandise
• Place point of sale signs, tags as needed
• Assist customers with their questions
• Operate equipment in safe, efficient manner
• Maintain merchandise on shelves in orderly display and rotation
• Clean fixtures and equipment as necessary
• Maintain stock in storage area
• Order replacement merchandise and supplies as needed
• Maintain logs and records of damaged and lost merchandise
• Complete routine price changes
• Other related duties as required
• This position requires bending, twisting, stooping and lifting up to 50-lbs., as well as the ability to work continually on your feet.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Ability to read aisle makers, shelf tags and prices to accurately price and stock merchandise on shelves and displays.
• Must possess efficient hand-eye coordination and be able to perform basic math calculations.
• Must maintain a sense of integrity.
• High school diploma is preferred but not required.

REQUIRED LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATION:

• A valid Food Handler / Health Card
